Tugtupite is a sodium, aluminium, chlorine, beryllium silicate mineral that exhibits tenebrescence, a reverse photochromism whereby the colour changes on exposure to sunlight. The range of colour is usually pale pink to deeper crimson/magenta pink. Tugtupite is a rare mineral and originally discovered in Greenland.
